I'm just going to jump in to this with both feet. Recently, I have been cooking more than I ever have before and I don't know if it's a mom now, because I'm actually home, or because I'm just growing up. As I will likely mention multiple times throughout this blog, I have an obsession with Pinterest. (pinterest.com/atowhimsy) This recipe I actually came up with on my own, although I'm sure I'm not the first to try something like it. I was looking through my fridge for something to make myself for lunch and since we haven't really been grocery shopping in about a month or so, it was slim pickins.
But I found a blog of cheese, some crescent rolls, and green peppers.
(Patron optional---jk)
Roll out the crescent rolls and slice your favorite block of cheese, I used Colby, and a pepper. (8 slices each)
I slices the cheese a little thick. You'll see what happened here in a little bit.
Roll the slice of cheese and pepper to the thick part of the crescent roll and roll it up.
Bake as the package says, 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Look at that cheesy deliciousness. As you can see the excess cheese exploded out of the sides but when you have a guy like mine, you just scrape that extra cheese off and put it on top of the rolls.
If you try it out let me know how it goes, or if you add anything different.
Happy Experimenting!
